Custom Millshop
I have a tree down in my yard. Will you purchase the wood?
We get lots of calls about beautiful hardwood trees that clients would like to sell or use for projects. Unfortunately, we are a custom millshop and we are not able to provide the milling and drying of logs. We recommend that you contact Rivermill Sawmill in Leesburg, VA or see if a portable sawmill is in your area and they will come to your home to do the job. Thanks for thinking of Tart Lumber.
What’s the Custom Millshop job turn around time?
Each project is unique and therfore requires special attention regardless of size. That being said, typical job turn around time is 2 weeks. During summer months (our busiest season) job turn around is 4 weeks minimum. If jobs are completed sooner, you will be contacted.

Is your showroom open on the weekend?
Do I have to have an appointment for the showroom?
For kitchen design and cabinetry related projects/order requests, you will need to schedule an appointment.
For doors, windows and other Design Showroom services an appointment is not required. It is strongly recommended, however, to set an appointment up online to secure a timeslot during operating hours. This way, we can ensure you recieve exclusive personalized attention for your specific project.

Do you deliver?
Yes! We Deliver to the Northern Virginia and D.C. Metro Area, delivery fees are dependent upon the size of the order, and the location of the delivery. Delivery for the following day must be confirmed by 2:00pm the day before.

I have a Window Warranty issue, what do I do?
Please download the Tart Lumber Window Warranty Form, enter the required information and email it to info@tartlumber.com.
What kind of windows do you carry?
We are proud to carry Marvin Windows and Doors, including the Signature Series, Elevate, and Essentials.
Marvin Signature offers you superior options and preformance, in both an Aluminum Clad and an All Wood offering. The Elevate Series is a Fiberglass Exterior with a fine wood interior, and the Essentails line offers a all fiberglass window.
We also can order vinyl windows from a few well known brands such as Plygem, RJT, and United windows.

Do you stock any windows or doors?
We do not keep in stock any specific windows or doors because each home’s window and door need is very unique. Instead, we special order the windows and doors from one of our many window manufactures, or door manufactures, so that you are getting the perfect fit for your home. If you are in need of a window or door quicker and do not have any size limitation, you can check out our deals and specials to see if there is a window or door in our bargain book that will work for you!
